DynamIP gets the exact date and time from an NTP server of your choice and then adjusts your PC clock accordingly. This is very handy if your PC clock is fast/slow. Furthermore, this feature might be useful to work around the "millennium bug" if your PC's BIOS is not Y2K compatible. More information about the Y2K bug is available here.
